The CINE HORROR Film Festival is an exhibition dedicated exclusively to fantastic genre films (horror, thriller, trash, gore, b-movies, fantasy and sci-fi). Located in the city of Salvador, Brazil, its ninth edition will take place in October 2024, showcasing contemporary films from all over the world.

- All submissions must be made through our ENTRY FORM: https://forms.gle/NM2DG9rWJKDfvc7A6;

- The submission period for the IX Cine Horror begins in March 04th, 2024 (03/04/2024);

- The submission period for the IX Cine Horror ends in June 30th, 2024 (06/30/2024);

- Films submited outside this period will not be considered for curatorial analysis;

- Films submitted in previous editions are not eligible for a new analysis;

- There's no limit of submissions per participant;

- Promotional stills and a poster (.JPG or .PNG, RGB, minimum 100 dpi, minimum resolution 1800x1200 pixels) should be attached to the entry form;

- The submission MUST contain a link for the screener;

- The screener must be hosted in video streaming platforms (Vimeo or Youtube), protected by password or a private link. Files hosted in cloud services will also be accepted (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc) as long as they don't have an expiration date;

- It is PREFERABLE for the film not to be already available for public access throughout the Internet;

- In case of a foreign language film (any other than Brazilian Portuguese), the screener must have subtitles in Portuguese, English or Spanish (.SRT file).

 

- The curatorship will be conducted by a select team of CINE HORROR members;

- The selected films will be contacted throughout August and September, by the e-mail provided on the entry form;

- In this contact, a exhibition file will be requested for the screening. It must be in one of these formats (.MKV, .MP4 or .AVI), with a 10GB maximum size. The download link MUST NOT have an expiration date;

- All selected films should wait for the OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT at the Cine Horror website and social media, before promoting it;

 

- The full program of IX CINE HORROR, with detailed schedule for every screening, will be announced in September/October, at the Cine Horror website and social media.

 

- IX Cine Horror will take place on October 2024, at the Cine Glauber Rocha, in Salvador, Brazil;
